Extremely powerful Icona Vulcano Chinese-European concept

Chinese auto show sheltered new, almost Italian supercar. Icona Vulcano is a stunning concept car designed in Shanghai and Turin at the same time, so it can be considered as the result of an international team of designers and engineers. It was presented in 2013 in Chinese Auto Show.

Developers used as the main power plant a 6.0-liter V12 gasoline engine, another power unit is 160-horsepower electric motor. The total output of both engines is 950 horsepower, and the dynamics of car is declared at the level of 2.9 seconds to 100 km / h and 9.2 seconds to 200 km / h. This modification is called H-Turismo and can accelerate to 350 km / h. The weight of this rear-wheel drive supercar is just 1,595 pounds.

The second modification of H-Competizione has different powerplant and all-wheel drive. Instead of atmospheric V12, it is equipped with Twin-Turbo six-cylinder engine with two electric motors. This power unit provides 870 hp, and it has more interesting dynamic characteristics. The car speeds up from 0 to 100 km in same 2.9 seconds, but the machine dials the second hundred in just 8.9 seconds – four-wheel drive helps.
