Geneva Motor Show: SsangYong XLV Concept is ready for serial production launching

Show SsangYong introduced a new concept XLV at the Geneva Motor and announced that the production version of the crossover will be shown at the Paris exhibition. SsangYong Motor Company introduced five models of cars at the 84th Geneva Motor Show. Among the models there was previously announced XLV concept. In 2015 the car will go to the mass production. XLV is a compact crossover concept with an advanced user interface.

It is the latest version of the concept, which was presented for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011 under the name of XIV-1 and it will become one of the key strategic of future development and growth of the SsangYong Company.

The innovative hybrid system combines a 1.6-liter diesel engine and an electric motor powered by lithium-ion battery; it can significantly reduce CO2 emissions. A distinctive feature of the new car is the ability to comfortably accommodate up to seven passengers in the cabin. 290 mm elongated body allows you to position the seat according to the innovative scheme 2 + 2 + 2 + 1, where the 7th seat moves freely between the second and third rows for maximum convenience.
