The Chinese brand has presented a new Great Wall Haval Concept R crossover at the Auto Show in Guangzhou. In fact, the Great Wall showed this model at the Beijing motor show in spring. But this version, according to the Chinese carmakers, looks almost like the production model, which should appear on the market in 2016. In front the car is clearly reminiscent of the new Jaguars. But the side and back view has certain similarities with the latest Volvo crossovers.

The concept with R index looks bright and spectacular. A long hood with predatory necked headlights, a huge grille, covered by the coarse net and the large alloy wheels show that the Great Wall can be posed as one of the high-priced and powerful cars in the SUV segment.

According to preliminary information, it’s supposed that the novelty will be equipped by 2-liter petrol turbo engine delivering 218 horsepower and 328 Nanometer of torque (the same unit is used in Haval H7 and H8 models). The transmission for this crossover can be in two variants: mechanics or automatic with double clutch. There is no any information about the price and start date of the new Great Wall Haval production.
