Chinese SUV BAOJUN 560 was officially announced

A public premiere of the new Chinese SUV Baojun 560 created by SAIC-GM-Wuling took place at the annual Shanghai motor show. Midsize car received prominent radiator grille, LED head optics, additional body protection, sloping roof and plenty of chrome elements.

Baojun brand was created jointly by SAIC (Shanghai Auto), General Motors (GM) and Wuling Automotive, and Baojun 560 is its first SUV model. The car has the following dimensions: length – 4620 mm, width – 1820 mm, height – 1750 mm. Wheelbase – 2750 mm. Until recently the novelty was named Baojun GP60, but as we approach the official debut, the company decided to change the name on the Baojun 560. According to preliminary information, the new car will be produced in a joint SAIC and GM enterprise, which already produces Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac cars for the Chinese market.

Inside of the new Chinese SUV Baojun 560 there is the multifunction steering wheel, chrome trim, glossy black accents, push-button ignition, driver’s seat with electric adjustment, infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and GPS-navigation. In addition, Baojun 560 has cruise control and folding rear sofa. The car is equipped with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder VVT-iTECH, which develops 135 horsepower (101 kW) with 186 Nm of torque.
