Geely tested NL-3 compact crossover on the Chinese roads

Chinese carmaker Geely is developing a new compact SUV NL-3. At the moment the car passes the test trials on the roads in China, as we can see at the spy photos of the model. The official date of the debut has not been disclosed. The team of designers of Chinese company led by Peter Horbury, previous designer of Ford and Volvo, is going to create an absolutely new, modern, original crossover Geely NL-3, they are going to realize a fresh concept in a serial model, which later will become the key to all future models of the brand lineup.

The prototype KC, presented back in 2013, demonstrated some of the features of the concept. The car received the unusual grille that has in its design a series of curved ovals.

It is assumed that the engine range of the new compact crossover Geely NL-3 will include a 1.8-liter gasoline engine and 1.8 and 2.4 liters turbo motors. The power plants will be combined with the five- and six-speed automatic or manual transmission. If the novelty will successfully complete all the test trials, it will be presented this spring at the Shanghai Auto Show.
