New Chinese-French car brand has released its 2015 Fengshen L60 first sedan

Joint Chinese-French enterprise named DPCA, created by the French PSA Peugeot Citroen company and China’s Dongfeng Group, has launched the production of a completely new model under the name Fengshen. The first product of the newly established brand has become not very cheap C-Class sedan called L60, which was built on the base of previous Peugeot 408.

The new Fengshen L60 sedan was designed and built in the Chinese DPCA design bureau; as a result the car has received features of several European and Japanese brands. However, the technical component of the vehicle has a lot of common with the Peugeot 408 previous generation.

The official premiere of Fengshen L60 will take a place at the Beijing Auto Show in April. Car sales will start in the second half of 2015 in China and some countries in Asia and the Pacific.

The novelty is based on the French chassis PF2 and has at its disposal two power units: a 1.6-liter engine providing 115 horsepower and a 1.8-liter engine developing 137 horsepower, which, together with two types of transmissions (5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic) are also supplied by the French PSA.
