The second generation BID Tang crossover is equipped with a hybrid power plant, borrowed from its predecessor. The 505-hp power plant includes a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 205-hp and 320 Nm output, two electric motors (150-hp and 200 Nm) and a 6-speed robotic DCT. The package also includes four-wheel drive, as well as 18 kW/h rechargeable batteries, which can overcome up to 85 km in electric mode. This technical arsenal gives the car excellent dynamic characteristics; the crossover accelerates in 4.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.

There were announced WEY VV5 prices

The new WEY VV5 crossover (previously known as WEY 02) is estimated at 120 000-160 000 Yuan. The novelty will be delivered into Chinese car market in September this year. This is the second car of the new luxury brand Wey, owned by Great Wall. The first crossover under the Wey VV7 name is sold in China since May at a price of 167.8 to 188.8 thousand Yuan.

Chinese carmakers and their new electric crossover

Xiaoping Motors Company appeared in 2014 has shown Xpeng Beta SUV’s prototype with an electric power unit. According to them, the crossover’s development was estimated of 100 million dollars. The final car’s configuration will be known in the end of the year. Those who wish to buy a car will need to wait for the middle 2017 year.

The big blue Lifan X70 concept car on the Lifan stand in Shanghai

At the Shanghai Auto Show 2015 Lifan Company Group has presented its new concept. It is the middle-sized crossover Lifan X70 which has certain similarity with Toyota FJ Cruiser. The production model will be based on X70 model. It is a big machine: 4030 mm long, 1750 mm wide, 1635 mm high, and its wheelbase is 2460. The brand’s novelty will take place between models X60 and X80.
