Aiways U5 – Is this Chinese EV SUV value for money?
Do decent EV SUVs have to cost an an and a leg? Chinese OEM Aiways says no, and has set up an unusual distribution and support network In Germany to get its latest models to the masses. Is this the future of car-buying?

(1) nobody uses the navigation that’s in the car already. Always been a pain to use.
(2) it’s got android auto or Apple Carplay. So you connect and you have Google maps on the big screen. Or other nav apps
Aiways U5; the product is poorly constructed. Design flaws and a clunky user interface
I test drove one yesterday here in the Netherlands. Was given the keys for 1 hour, but I returned after 15 minutes. Cheap plastic everywhere, thin window glass, a horrible interface screen, and styling that could bore you to sleep.
The glovebox is optional?! What a joke!
Brand is almost non-existent in China. Claims to sold only 2600 cars in 2020 after being around for 5 years.
Did they mention air bags?
The conclusion is this thing could kill you.
Looks like a discount Citroën ?
