As more vehicles go electric around the world, Chinese factories producing EV-related equipment are now busy like never before.

Industry data shows that in October, China exported a record 109,000 electric and other new energy vehicles, up 81 percent from a year ago.

To keep up with that soaring global demand, companies that manufacture EV parts and components are racing to scale up production.

Besides boosting domestic production, some firms are also trying to localize manufacturing in major foreign markets.

Those in the industry say with good quality and shorter lead time, Chinese-made car equipment is becoming increasingly competitive in the global market.
