Chinese brands highlighted at auto show of Buenos Aires
Two major automobile producers of China, Chery and Lifan, Thursday unveiled their latest works at 7th International Motor Show of Buenos Aires, in efforts to secure their share of the market dominated by the United States and Japan.
Chery planned to introduce its SUV flagship, the Tiggo, to Argentina in 2016 in two versions: Comfort and Luxury.

“We believe it is very important for a new brand as Chery to be especially here in Argentina. It comes into direct contact with the public.”
Lifan also played the card of SUV, presenting its X60 to the country in the third quarter of 2015 and X50 in 2017.

“Lifan, a brand of Chinese capital, is already established in Brazil. It operates directly here, and also has a factory in Uruguay. We are now trying to promote the brand in Argentina.”
Dozens of auto brands like Renault, Chevrolet, Fiat, Nissan, Ford, Smart, Scania and Honda took part in the week-long exhibition with their new vehicles.
Along the show, lectures would be given to raise awareness of road safety. Games, simulation information and training materials were also available.
