This flying vehicle is called the Voyager X2, with a carbon fiber body, this giant drone has the total weight of 560 Kg and has the capacity to take off with up to 760 Kg of weight, it can take up to 2 passengers in its interior,
In June 2021 The Voyager X2 completed its first manned test flight and the company is now recruiting and training the first group of experienced flight testers.
This vehicle is envisioned to work in a wide range of scenarios, including emergency situations, rescue and police patrolling.
There are two options, you can either fly the car choosing the autopilot mode or you can manually control de car. The vehicle has a capacity from 25 to 35 minutes flight with one charge, the flight altitude is below 1000 meters and the speed is about 130 km/h.
The vehicle has been designed with safety in mind, It has 8 propellers, but if one of the propellers failed during the flight, it is still able to land safely, and even if all the propellers were broken, the vehicle counts with parachute system that allows it to land in a safe way.
The company is now working closely with China Civil aviation authorities to discuss the application of this product as early as possible and help to alleviate the heavy traffic congestion problem in first tier cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, they believe once the policies are clear and established, this car might be launched to the public in three to five years.
